Search Index is a digital experience in progress as my Major Studio 1 final project, transforming personal search histories into a shared space for emotional reflection. The project invites users to revisit searches made during moments of vulnerability and interact with an AI model shaped by the collective emotional input of past participants. Rather than providing answers, the model offers open-ended, reflective prompts that encourage users to explore how they seek care, understanding, and validation online.

Through real-time data visualizations, the project maps emotional patterns and connections across users, revealing how our private digital behaviors echo collective emotional tendencies. By examining this shift from the attention economy to an emerging intimate economy, the project highlights how personalization and algorithmic feedback loops have made the boundary between introspection and narcissism increasingly thin. Ultimately, it reimagines AI not as a problem-solver, but as an emotional mirror that helps us understand how technology shapes the ways we care, reflect, and connect.
